Commissioning
"The basic purpose of building commissioning is to provide a quality-based process with documented confirmation that building systems are planned, designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained in compliance with the owner's project requirements. Commissioning of existing systems may require the development of new functional criteria in order to address the owner's current systems performance requirements." — The Building Commissioning Association (BCA)
Commissioning is a systematic approach to improving system performance, operations, and maintenance; indoor air quality and thermal comfort; energy efficiency; and benefits such as occupant comfort, health and welfare, and productivity in both new and existing buildings.
PMG has trained professionals familiar with all aspects of the commissioning process. As an Owner's Rep or third-party entity, we can maintain our independence and perform our duties with an unbiased approach from the Pre-Design Phase through the Warranty and Post Occupancy Phase.
